The vision of the Notus School District is to provide a quality education. By consistently working toward this vision, each student will be assured every opportunity to acquire academic knowledge based on the state standards, life skills, principles of good citizenship, and democratic ideals.
We at Notus schools believe that learners of all ages must be able to access, process and apply information in order to live today and throughout their lives.
We believe we must teach and nurture the whole child, recognizing that each learner has individual cognitive, emotional, physical, and creative needs that must be met.
We believe that all learners will experience positive growth academically, physically, and emotionally if we assure them opportunities to experience success. In order for learners to succeed, they must also view their school as a safe, positive, disciplined environment in which to learn.
We believe that all people have worth, and should be treated with dignity and respect. We must assure that students recognize that they, as individuals, have rights and responsibilities, and that the choices they make shape their lives.
We believe we must accept the responsibility that we are models upon which our students base their knowledge and behavior. These goals will best be achieved when responsibility is assumed by the students, community and educators. Together we are Notus School District.
